I went and did the exercises. I wasn't going to skip so easily, though trying to jump rope when you have food poisoning and are drained of energy took a pretty large effort. I think a cold or even a fever I could have dealt with easier. I think this was probably partly my body trying to get used to a new diet and partly something I ate. I don't know what. Anyway, if I can get through and survive a day like this one, I am pretty sure that come hell or high water I can stick to the plan for the duration.
After that ordeal, I found myself sitting there at 930pm on a Sunday having not been able to prep food for the start of this week as I had planned. I also hadn't been able to log on to post a new entry here or comment on other people's posts. Sorry about that, everyone, I will get back into commenting from tomorrow (right now I am playing catch up on my posts). I managed to steam veggies and chicken for Monday's meals to take to work and climbed into bed around midnight. Long day...survival day.
Oh, and the obligatory Week 2 photos (Day Nine)
Added in a few more angles this time so it will be easier to compare down the road.
Doesn't sound like a fun day, but you made it! I went a day without checking all the posts and it takes a long time to catch up! Hope you feel better today!
ReplyDeleteSo, any idea what food brought this on? Did you eat something dodgy?
ReplyDeleteHey there seems to be a virus going around: just went through the Embassy (where I work) late last week and over the weekend. It is one day of puking, sweats, etc; short lived but violent. Colleagues (all who have kids) have had it - me, washing hands a lot here at work. Heard it is spreading at the childcare centres around Tokyo - FYI - Rich
ReplyDelete10% of the way there man...
ReplyDeletehow you doing?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your concern, everyone. I am back to 100%. I have some catching up to do on reading people's blogs (just read and caught up on everyone in my group's now)and have to post like a fiend in the next couple of days, but the important thing is that even while sick I still got everything done.
ReplyDeletePatrick, I did not eat anything dodgy. Well, I guess I must have, but nothing out of the ordinary. Could just be the re-wiring. Body probably not yet used to the diet and regimen and it was a draining week emotionally as well. Anyway, the shivers stopped by Sunday evening so it's ok. Ready to go!
And yuck...my week 2 photos. Can't wait til they are a distant memory "before" pics.
